What are CMYK and RGB colours?+
CMYK colour is our preferred colour space.
CMYK stands for the four colour process (the four main inks) used in printing. Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Key (Black). We ask for artwork created in CMYK colour as this is what all digital printers use to print the correct colour.
RGB stands for the Red, Green & Blue lights used in computer, TV, tablet & mobile phone screens. Artwork can be created in RGB for websites. When RGB is used for printable artwork, the printer has to convert the colours to CMYK, and can sometimes look very different to what is desired.
How do I match the colours on my screen to the print?+
To achieve this to the best accuracy both the screen and the printer must be colour calibrated together, using professional equipment.
This means, that most likely what you see on your screen will differ to that on the print.
How do I get the best print quality?+
Image quality should be at 150dpi minimum to ensure a good print. Vector graphics are preferred over Raster graphics.
Vector graphics can be printed at any size, and the quality will always be excellent.
Raster graphics lose quality the bigger they are printed. That generally means a logo that looks good on your computer screen will look worse when printed bigger than you see it on screen.
What size should I prepare the artwork?+
Please provide artwork at 100% scale to size in millimetres.
Image quality should be at 150dpi minimum to ensure a good print.

I can create print ready artwork, how should it be setup?+
Please provide artwork in Vector PDF or Vector EPS format, at 100% scale to size in millimetres.
Image quality should be at 150dpi minimum to ensure a good print, with a CMYK colour space and additional Pantone® (PMS) colours to ensure colours are printed correctly.
Please also convert all text to paths/outlines, as this can lead to irregularities in the print if text remains editable and the fonts are not supplied.
Please see our artwork page for further information.
